THIS DAY. Prh Electric Telegraph—Copyright.)

(Per Press Association.)

(Received 10.25 a.m., Nov. 28th.)

KOOB’S CORE AND ANOTHER, Berlin, Nov. 27.

Dr Koch is indignant at certain medical men extorting money from consumptive patients on the pretence of possessing his secret. He has deferred the lecture he had arranged to give on his discovery. The German Government will shortly undertake the preparation and distribution of lymph.

London, Nov. 27.

Dr Watson, chemical lecturer at King’s College, inoculated four patients with a fluid product of bacillus. A dose of one cubic centimetre was injected in the back. The affinity of the fluid to the diseased tissue is similar to that of loadstone to the needle. It occasions fever, vomiting and coma, followed by burning, swelling, and sloughing of the affected parts. The College of Veterinary Surgeons and the Faculty of the Hospital for diseases of the skin are investigating the process. MR PARNELL. Mr Healy was absent from the meeting of Parnellites, but concurs in the necessity for Parnell’s retirement. Mr Nolan opposed his withdrawal. It is understood that seventeen members were in favor of his retirement, while fifty were opposed to it, Messrs Dillon and O’Brien are being consulted, and it is believed their opinion will be decisive. Mr Parnell intends to publish his defence shortly. United Ireland declares that fidelity to Ireland overrules fidelity to Mr Parnell. Mr O’Brien supports the stand taken by Mr Gladstone with reference to Parnell’s retirement.

AUSTRALIAN TRADE. In the course of a speech in the'House of Lords, Lord Salisbury mentioned that trade between Great Britain and the Australian colonies was growing at a rate that could not be equalled in the world. A DIVORCE CASE. The petition of Lady Connemara for divorce from her husband on the grounds of adultery has been granted. Lord Connemara did not offer any defence to his wife’s charges.

ON THE WAR-PATH,

New York, Nov. 27.

Severe fighting has taken place with the Indians at Keogh in Montana.
