Fatal Accident.

(By Tblegeaph.l INVERCARGILL, July 9. The circumstances of a fatal boat accident at Stewart Island are peculiarly painful, the young men being relatives and on their way to visit the mother of two of them at the Neck. They were all members of the crew of the Janet Ramsay. Neill’s mother resides at Henley, in the Taieri, He was a youth of 19. George Josh was 25. They seem to have recognised the necessity for caution, as they put the boat ashore and took in ballast, but got into the rip on opening out the bay with an easterly wind and the boat filled.
