The Buckeye secured the gold medal and special mention at the Melbourne Exhibition, the judges stating in their report that, “ Its construction was a special study for every intelligent mechanic. 11 The Buckeye Lowdown was awarded first prize at Jamestown, South Australia, the udges giving a special certificate, stating, «In our opinion this machine is undoubtedly the machine of the future."
