At a meeting of the Tailoresses Union to consider the starting of a co-operative factory, the question was deferred pending replies from Dunedin as to the support likely to be received. The strike so far has cost £lB9, of which £136 18s lOd has been contributed by other unions, including £SO from the Dunedin tailoresses. MasonicNAPIER, June 11. Two men last night attempted to rob the Colonial Bank. Mr Howard, the accountant, on entering a few minutes after eleven was attacked in the dark by two men, who had got in at a back window.
