At Lyons arrests have been made of several persona whom the authorities suspected of intending to take part in a dynamite plot at the labour ’demonstration on Thursday. ■ , (Received 1.30 p.m., April 30th.)
Two Italians, recent arrivals here, have been advising soldiers to shoot their officers if they ordered them to charge the people at the labour demonstrations on Thursday.
Rome, April 29.
Most of the shops in this city are closed. The authorities have forbidden meetings and processions in connection with the labour demonstrations.
Madrid, April 29. A grand procession of the various trades will be held here on Thursday.
Brussels, April 29.
The labour demonstration in Belgium will be carried out on a large scale. More than 200,000 workmen will take part in the procession. (Per Press Association.) (Received 1.15 a.m., May Ist.) Paris, April 30. The Marquis Mores has been arrested in the city on a charge of inciting the army to join the anarchists. Numerous anarchists, including M. PrCvost, secretary of the Parisian Trades Union, have been arrested, as it is believed they intended to dynamite the financiers’ houses to-morrow. Fifty thousand troops are stationed in Paris to preserve order on the occasion of the labour demonstration.
