The following is the Christchurch Corn Exchange report for tho week ending Friday, May 7th, 1889 The large quantities of grain offering during tho past week, together with the drooping tendency of the Sydney market, have hacl the effect of easing the market. Tho shipments 1 being light during tho week, have necessitated large quantities going into store. Most of the English ships have now completed their cargoes, and, with tho exception of small parcels by the direct steamers, wo shall not expect to sec much wheat find its way beyond l tho Australian colonics.
