It is perhaps not generally known that tho Queen presents a medal to tho ordinary staff of her household for long and faithful service. It is of silver, designed by Wyon, about the size of a florin, with a silver clasp showing the crown and Royal cipher, suspended from a ribbon of tho Victoria plaid pattern. On one side is tho profile of the Queen, and on the other an inscription setting forth to whom and for what service it has been awarded.
