A Bad Bolt.

MASTERTON, Dec. 29,
Last night as E. Ooppen was driving home to Tenui with his wife in a brake the horses bolted at Korokoro bridge, smashed the conveyance, killed one horse, broke Mrs Copping’s jawbone, and otherwise seriously injured her, while Coppen was badly bruised and had one leg injured.
