VITAL STATISTICS.
(By Telegraph.) WELLINGTON, July 21. The following are the vital statistics of the colony for June, 1887 : -
The deaths of persons not residents of boroughs, occurring at hospitals, have been excluded in all cases. The total births in the above boroughs amounted to 497 against 496 in May, an increase of 15. The deaths in June wore 165, a decrease of 3 on the "number for My. Of tho total deaths males contributed 89, females 76; 44 of the deaths wore of children under five years of ago, being 26.67 per cent of tho whole number j 38 of these were children under one year of age.
