The manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand reports as follows on the local grain market:—Shipping wheat is in steady but not active demand at 3s lOd to 3s lid. Malting barley is in more demand, and there is a slight improvement ; quotations from 4s 9d to 5s 9d. New Zealand oats, feeding sorts, are in fair demand at 2s lOd to 3s. For milling oats there is moderate enquiry at 2s lid to 3s. New Zealand oats under bond are quiet at 2s to 2s 2d. (Received 1.30 a.m., July 20th.l THE ORMUZ. Melbourne, July 19. Arrived, yesterday—The Orient s.s. Ormuz, from London, THE UNEMPLOYED. Agitation by the unemployed is recommencing here. About four hundred men assembled to-day and interviewed the Minister of Public Works with a view of obtaining employment.
