GERALDINE— Thursday, July 19th.

(Before H. 0. S. Baddeley, Esq., R.M., .and H. W. Moore, Esq., J.P.) OIVII OASES. The Deputy Official Assignee v. Alexander McDonald, claim £8 Is, alleged to be due in the estate of Thomas Farrell. Mr White for plaintiff. 0. E. Sherratt deposed to having been appointed by the plaintiff to collect the debts in the estate. The defendant’s name appeared in the books as indebted for the amount claimed. Defendant pleaded not indebted. J udgment for £6 6s 6d. N. Dunlop and Co. v. J. Mcßobie Claim, £2 5s 4d. Mr White for plaintiff. Defendant disputed the account in regard to the quantity and quality of eggs nipplied. N. Dunlop, in his evidence, admitted here might have been about two dozen -ggs short, which he was quite willing to -'"alow. As far as the quality of the eggs >as concerned he sold them to defendant rithout a guarantee (which defendant iisputed.) After hearing the evidence of defendant, vho deposed ho was willing to pay the laiin if plaintiff would allow a certain - mount off the account, Judgment was awarded for the £2 3s 6d vith coats. Mason v. Hawke—Claim, £3.

Mr White for plaintiff. Plaintiff, a jockey, deposed that the tmoimt was due for three mounts at the Etakaia races.

Defendant admitted the debt and asked for time for payment. Judgment for amount claimed, to be said by 5s per week. Deputy Official Assignee v. W. Kean, daim £3 6s 6d, in the estate of T. Farrell, 'ate of the Crown Hotel.
