[By Telegraph,] THIS DAY. Wellington, Feb. 9. At tbe Presbyterian Assembly this morning a letter was read from tbe Bev. Dr Blakie, Edinburgh, relative to send, iug a representative to the Alliance. It was decided if any Ministers from New Zealand happens to be at Home at tbe time the Alliance meets he should be commissioned to represent the New Zealand cbnrch. Tbe testimonials of the Rev. Mr Dnolop, appointed to tbe Professorship of Theology at Otago University were forwarded to the Otago Synod for their information. The Assembly read and acknowledged them. Tbe Committee appointed to consider the Treasurer’s report state that tbe balance sheet shows £669 15a 7d at present on hand. The Bev. McOosh Clark, of Auckland, said there was also £9O in the hands of tbe Bev. Sidey of Napier. Of this sum £4OO must be remitted to Sydney immediately in payment of missionaries salary, £IOO to Dayspring |and there were other liabilities amounting to£Hs,Jeaving a balance of about £l5O. « The question of receiving Bev. C. Worboise into the Ohnrnb was remitted to a speciol committee for consideration.
