Times Office, Monday Evening. Messrs Jonas and Bourn report for the week ended Saturday last;— The tegular monthly sale was held at the Pleasant Point sale yards on Monday last, the 4th instant. The entry of sheep was not so large as usual, and as feed is becoming more plentiful, and still rapidly increasing, owners are more independent, consequently the prices reqaired (or store ebeepwere a little too high to indnoe speculation, therefore a few lota were tamed out unsold. They sold 120 fat wevhers at 12s 31, and 205 half-bred hoggets at 7s 6d. There was a very large entry of cattle, the yards being filled. The competition was good, and nearly aU were cleared at fall market va'nes. They sold 15 bead fat cattle, young and small, but ripe fat, from £3 2s 6d to £7 8s 61, and which would give an average of 24s per 1001 b. 53 steers and .heifers, eighteen months to three years, from £1 16s to £4 2s 6d. Eleven cows and heifers in milk or near calving, from £3 17s 6d to £6 15i; a few dry cows at proportionate rates and 6 store pigs at 7b. At the Wasbdyke saleyards on Thursday last, the 7th instant, the usual sale was held. There was a fair entry of fat sheep, and although the attendance of buyers was not large, all were sold, and realised market value?. Th-y sold 67 fat wethers Cor Mr J. Page at 13s 9J, 30 crossbred wethers at 13 j 3d, and 20 half-bred wethers at 12s 31 for Mr W. Balfour. There were no fat oattlc yarded,and oaly a few stores. They Bold a few pons at satisfactory prices. Sheepskins.—They held their regular sale of skins on Wednesday, the 29th ultimo. Tbo entry was fully np to the average in nnmber,and the whole lot fonnd purchasers as follows Factory skins, 6s to 5a 7d ; butohars' cross-breds, 3s 9d, 4i, 4s 3d, 4s 6d, 4s 9d, 4s 10.1,t0 5s Id; country skins, 2a 6d, 2s 91, 3s, 3s 3d, 3s 9d, 4s to 4s 9d. They also sold three tons of rongh and rendered fat from £6 to £8 per ton. Horses-Their entry on Saturday was very light, few coming forward, and those only of inferior class. They have enquiries for good (arm workers, and could place a good few at full market rates. They quote heavy draughts at £l7 to £26 ; medium do, £9 to £lB ; hacks and light harness horses according to age and description.
