The market rate of discount has risen by £, and is now at 1 per cent, or I per cent below the Bank rate. The crop of beetroot this season is estimated at 2,170,000 tons. New Zealand frozen matton s£d to s|d per lb. Shipping, The Merchant Shipping and Underwriters' Association report the arrival of the Trevelyan, from Napier. The ship Collingrove, from London to Adelaide, has pnt back into Falmonth after a collision with a steamer whose name is unknown.
