LEVELS ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of. the Board was held yesterday. Present —Messrs Moody, Newton and Sims. Mr Moody was re-elected Chairman for the ensuing year. Correspondence was read and dealt with :

From the Chief Surveyor, agreeing to the suggestions to alter the road line oh reserve 1263.

From Mr Thomas Jefcoate, calling attention to the state of the Otipua road ; also to the road leading to the river by hi« property. The Overseer was icstructed to call for tenders for shingling the latter. From the Property Tax Commissioner, asking that facilities be afforded to applicants for making the valuations by allowing them to inspect the rolls and maps. Granted.

From the Town Clerk, in reference to the unsatisfactory state of the Town Belt. Resolved—“ That the Chairman con* fer with the Mayer on the subject.” From the inhabitants of Buobanaa’g paddock, calling attention to the state of the roads in that neighborhood.

The Overseer was directed to attend to the same ; and also take steps to open the road at the back of bis pre* mises.

The Overseer’s report was read.

Accounts amounting lo £147 were passed. The meeting then adjourned, till the seeonATuesday in June.
