The P. and O. steamship Yaletta arrived at Plymouth to-day from Melbourne (left April 22). [Received June 10, 1884, 10 p.m.] Commercial-

Consols remain at par. New Zealand securities remain at last quotations. Colonial breadstuffs are quoted as follows :—Adelaide wheat, ex store, 41s, New Zealand ditto. 35s to 40s. Adelaide flour remains at 28s.

Tallow—Australian average quality, beef remains at 565. Mutton has fallen 6d per cwt, and is now quoted at 37s 6d.

The total stock of tallow in London to day, is returned at 17,750 casks. The catalogue at to-day’s wool sale comprised 11,400 bales. The market was firm.

The Melbourne portion of the frozen meat ex Sorata, and consisting of 266 carcases of mutton, has been sold at 5d to s£d per lb. The meat was in excellent condition.

The market rate of discount has risen to 2| per cent, and is now f below tho Bank rate.

Twelve officers have been arrested at Odessa, charged with being concerned in a Nihilist conspiracy. The Orangemen abstained from holding their meeting simultaneously with that of the National party. After their meeting the Nationalists stoned the Orange Lodge, which resulted in shots being exchanged, and serious rioting has taken place.
