Mr Rudolph Haigh, photographer, has shown us a veritable novelty in reproduction, in the shape of a portrait of Sarah Bernardt, produced by the direct transfer of a photograph on metal. A portrait can be taken and transferred to a block, which may be used at any time as type is worked. This novelty Is the production of the American and Continental Engraving Company at Munich; and it forms a supplement to the “ Photographic News” of November 23.
