(Feb Fbehs Association.) THIS SAT. Drowned While Bathing. Christchurch, Dec. 10. A son of Mr Andrew Dawson, farmer of Longbeach, was drowned while bathing in the sea yesterday morning. Deceased was a clerk in a bank at Wellington, and was at home for a holiday. Later. Alfred Dawson, manager of the Bank of Australasia at Fielding, was drowned off Waterton beach yesterday morning. The deceased was on a visit to his father, a farmer at Longbeach, and went out to bathe with three of his brothers and two brothers-in-law. He got into the breakers and was washed out to sea. The body came ashore half an hoar afterwards. An inquest will be held to day. The Minister and the Unemployed. The Hon the Minister for Public Works has arranged to receive a deputation of the unemployed on Friday. The Skeletons at Lyttelton. Yesterday a number of the Christchurch members of the Skeleton Army proceeded to Lyttelton, with the object of creating a at the Salvation Army services. Being refused admission to the Salvation Hall, they attacked the door-keepers, but the latter being assisted by people passing at tha time, and the police shortly after coming up, the attack was frustrated, and eleven members of tho Skeleton Army were arrested.
