[Redter’s Agency.] [Received Nov. 22, 1883,0.10 p.m.J Shocking Collision at Sea. London, Nov. 21. A French brig, named Rocaberg, came into collision with another vessel in the Atlantic. The Rocaberg sank almost immediately, and 88 persons were drowned. Royal Commands. Bombay, Nov. 21. The Duke of Connaught arrived here to-day from London en route for Meerut, to take up the military command. His Royal Highness landed in the presence of an immense concourse of people, by whom he was cordially received, much enthusiasm being displayed.
