Several vocalists and speakers from Timaru and Temuka took part in the proceedings, and the efforts of the soloists were much appreciated, and the affair was in every way successful. References were made by the speakers to the departure of the Rev Mr Chaffers-Welch, Episcopalian Clergyman, which showed that that gentleman was universally esteemed.
