SIB JOHN 1 GOODE TO BE CONSDLTED. [By Telegraph.] Dukedw, May 17, , A special meeting of the Harbor Board was held to-day, when authority was given to the Chairman to ascertain from Sir John Coode whether the proposed improvements at the Heads wonld prejudice his full scheme, and whether be approved of the material proposed to housed aud the mode of construction ; also, whether he considers it inadvisable to carryout the west wall to the full •extent before commencing the east wall from Taiaros Heads, or whether the latter cannot be postponed till the west wall is completed,- so that the effect can be definitely ascertained, also, what ' ; 0 his opinion as to the reliability of Mr Barr’s estimate of cost. It was resolved that Sir John Coode be informed that the small amount of dredging also done has had the effect of deepening the bar by two feet, notwithstanding that there have been many storms this year. v
