TIMAEU—THIS’ DAY. (Before J. Beswick, Esq., 8.M.) DRUNKENNESS, Two inebriates were fined 5s each. BREACH OF BOEOUGH BY-LAWS.

The N.Z. Grain Agency and Mercantile Company, (Limited), and Peter Clayton, builder, were proceeded against by the Timaru Borough Council for unlawfully constructing a wooden building within the Borough, to wit —a certain grain store contrary to the building regulations of the Council. Mr C. fl.. Perry appeared for the prosecution, Mr flamersley for defendants. ■ • His Worship adjourned the case for fourteen days, remarking that the case was one of considerable importance, and he did not feel justified in giving judgment without careful consideration.
