The quarterly summoned meeting of the Protestant Alliance Friendly Society will be held to-morrow evening in the Foresters’ Hall, George street, instead of at the Oddfellows’ Hall, There will be a night excursion train from Christchurch to Dunedin on March 22. Particulars appear in an advertisement. At a special meeting of the Waimakariri Harbor Board held yesterday it was resolved that the Clerk (Mr C. E. Dudley) be dismissed, and a Committee was appointed and instructed to proceed against Mr Dudley on account of the deficiencies mentioned in the auditor’s report. The annual tea meeting in connection with the Congregational Church, takes place to-morrow evening at six o'clock in the Barnard street hall. A sacred concert will be held in the Church at 8 o’clock. The programme appears in an advertisement.
