A Wholesale Murderer-
Sydney, August 19.
A man named Burns, who was yesterday acquitted of a charge of murdering another named Forbes, whose headless body was found at Deep Lead, was immediately afterwards re-arrested for the murder of Michael Quinlivan in 1880. A further warrant is out for Burns for a murder in South Australia. WoolDuties* Sir H. Parkes is issuing a circular despatch to the various Australian Governments on the subject of bis negotiations with the United States Government in regard to wool duties. Postmaster-General Brown* Mr 8. D. Brown has resigned the position of Postmaster-General in the New South Wales Ministry. ' Railway Rates* The Government intend to make large roduetions in the railway rates from lot September next. Grain* Adelaide, August 19. ■; Wheat is firm at 7s.
