PARLIAMENTARY.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Wellington, July 27. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. BEPLY TO QUESTION. In reply to Mr Williamson, the Hon. Mr Oliver said a telegraph clerk at Onehunga who had refused to send a telegram between 10 and 10.30 on Sunday had been guilty of a breach of duty. BILLS DEALT WITH. Several Statute Revision Bills were passed through the Council. The Employment of Females, the Bluff Harbor Foreshore Reclamation, the Lyttelton Harbor Board, and Dunedin Southern Market Reserves Leasing Bills were received from the Lower House and read a first time. The Mining Companies Act 1872 Amendment Bill was read a third time. The Council adjourned at 4.15 p.m.
