THEATRE ROYAL.
There was an immense house last night, the occasion being the appearance of the Mace anjl Miller Combination Company. The portion of the entertainment which consisted in a display of trophies' won by the two athletes, was not well received, but the amazing exhibition of Mr Miller’s strength and skill were rapturously applauded ; and, indeed they deserved all the applause they won, for the Professor might stand for a portrait of Hercules. He has magnificent muscular development. His raising on one arm of a giant dumbell (which Mr Jones, the station master, weighed 1821bs) was a feat the like of which we have never seen before. Mr Miller’s club exercises were capital. Some capital sparring took place between Mace and Miller, there was some good singing by Miss Nellie Mace, portrait sketching by Mr Edmonds, illustrations of wrestling, and other novelties. There will bo some grand wrestling to ; night, between Slade and Professor Miller.
