[Reuter's Agency, j Robbery. Melbourne, June 12. A robbery of £ISOO worth of jewellery was effected last night from the shop of Mr Airnskie, in Lonsdale street. Wo arrests have yet been made in connection with the affair. Harges the Absconder. Adelaide, June 12. Harges, the Auckland absconder, has been sentenced to a fortnight’s imprisonment previous to extradition, under the New Zealand warrant. Shipping. The Merchant Shipping and Underwriters’ Association report under date’ London, Juno 12th; —Arrived—Ship Manx Queen from port Chalmers, fl left February 21st. Hanlan the Oarsman. A rumor is current here this evening that Hanlan, the. Canadian oarsman, is dead. The report, however, is discredited, and requires confirmation.
