Charges gainst Mr Bent The Select Committeee of the Legislative Assembly which was appointed at the request of the Minister for Eailyways to enquire into the charges which have boon preferred against him with referenao to certain lines, and tho circumstances under which Mr Win. W. Elsdou, late Engineer in Chief, resigned his appointment,' has concluded its sittings. The report, which was laid before the Assembly to:day, completely exonerates Mr Wm. Bent from all. charges.
