Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Thursday, Oct. 14. For New South Wales and Queensland, and Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Te Anau, at 6 a.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand per Te Anau, at 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15. For Australian Colonies, per Eotorua, at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Taiaroa, at 2.50 a.m. (Signed) W. W. Beswick, Acting Chief Postmaster.
