This Society makes advances of money on personal security to Tradesmen, Clerks, Working Men, and others, in sums of Five Pounds and upwards, repayable in weekly instalments of . one shilling in the pound, the interest charged being at the rate of two shillings in the pound, and is deducted from the money advanced at the timo of granting the loan. Thus, a person borrowing Five Pounds, receives Four Pounds Ten Shillings, the balance being deducted for interest, and repays the loan by twenty weekly instalments of Five Shillings each. These terms are strictly adhered to, and in no case is a greater amount of interest demanded, or a larger weekly instalment required. The atteution of intending bona fide borrowers is particularly drawn to the above statement, as they may be of opinion that such is not the case, in consequence of it not being the practice of other offices to keep to the terms of their advertisements.
