Vatican and the Cinema.
Rome, July I" The Pope some time ago invited R"ni.. Catholic bishops ia various parts of tii' world to send him reports on the employ meat of the cinema for the purpos< . spreading the Roman Catholic Faith. These reports, which are nowarrivii!. show that the public is little interested i religious films. The only ones that appeal to attract them are those of great cereuit' nies at St. Peter's or the Vatican. The cinematograph firms, it is stated want to take more of them, and also pictmof the Pope and hia Cardinals, and they oil-: considerable sums for the privilege.
