A Vile Practice.
(Ti'i 111 K Kl.rinl:. •' Sa.MhA TlMP.3.'.') Sir,—There seems to be an epidemic of scurrility abroad, being alleged ancient history written to Now Zealand about residents of these islands, evidently with the object of disparaging theiu in the eyes of tho powers that be. One wonders if the auonymotis author or authors of these despicable - effusions are themselves hntmiculato, or., in the words of an old resident here, "the clean potatoes they crack themselves up to I'c':' One rather fancies not. It was once said, "Let him that is without sin among you cast rho first stone," —a wise precept, Sir, which, if carefully observed by those who live in glass houses, would obviate it good deal of shattered material.Yours, etc, Fair Pay.
