Economic Outlook.

Awanui, Aug. 20.

MINERAL RIGHTS OVER COALFIELDS. Mr, Lloyd George, addressing the House of Commons, described the economic outlook regarding trade. Slack* ening of output led to gigantic unemployment in every branch of production except agriculture. Spending had been more and production less. He advised that the balance thus formed must be faced and every endeavour made to recover our position in International trade. The Government will introduce a Bill granting a living wage for all industries and a 48 hour week. The Government has accepted the policy to strike for purchase of the mineral rights of coalfields. Mr. Lloyd George's speech has been received with general approval by the Press.
