Burns Philp & Co ) was sighted from ihe Pilot Station on Sunday mors ing, but soon disappeared and has not b.-en seen since The 'Dawn" and "Rol> Koy" left yesteuday for the Ellice Islands. Chartered by H T Moors, the "Thomas P Emigh," (Captain C. \V. Nielsen) arrived in port on the 2nd inst. in ballast.from Port Pirie where she landed a cargo of lumber. She left the Australian port for Samoa on 21st March. The "Thos. P Emigh" (pronouuced Eemick) has a tonnage of 1040, aud was built at Tacoma. Washington, in iBBr, being named after her builder, who died before the vessel was completed. S S * Dawu" came in fiotn Pago Pago at 9 30 orj the sth inst after encountering very rough weather on the journey. She left the Tutuila port at 4 p m on the 4th, and land was not sighted until Salua fata was passed Messrs Fabricius' motor passenger boat, the " Oioa Pita ", left on Friday last tor Savaii, and, according to timetable, was due to arrive back on Saturday evening As she had not arrived on Tuesday the " Marstal " wasdespatched to investigate. It appeared that the " Oloa Pita " left at her appointed time, but had to put back ou accouut ot bad weather. She arrived here on Wednesday morning. Other motor boats were also de tained around the Savaii coast owing to a like reason.
