The Dawn arrived with about 70 tons cargo from the S S Ventura Up to the time of the Dawn's departure from Pago Pago no word had been received of the where abouts of the Manna, which left here for that port on April 17th. The cargo from the Jawn was unloaded and placed in the Customs shed by the crew. The Dawn is leaving at 5 P. M. to day for Pago Pago. The ss " Moeraki" will take the place of the " Atua." leaviug Syduty May 8, and comnecting with "Taluue "at Suva. Ailiving from Satnatau on Tues day evening with 150 bags of copia,

According to wireless news received here trom San Francisco the American schooner " W. M. Olsen " which has visited our port several times, twice in 1915 under charter to Messr A Nelson & Son) cpmmand ol Captain Macdonald, was wrecked on the 20th ult , and is considered a total loss Cause and locality of the disaster are unknown. Nelson's rrew motor boat, the "Siliaiai," which had to put hack into Auckland owing to adverse weather, again left that port for Apia on Monday last She is expected here about the end of next week. The "Jacox" which arrived recently in Pago Pago irom Hono lulu with mail and freight for Pago Pago and Apia, is the first of the United States Shipping Board steamers to arrive in these waters. She is a stanaardized fabricated steel steamer of 3500 tons, 300 feet in length, with a speed of ten knots. The amazing thing about this vessel is that she was built in twenty one days; less time than it ordinarily takes to build a Samoau canoe.
