In our first number we had the painful duty of recording the fact that the scourge of war had again, after fourteen years cessation, been inflicted on some of the districts on Savaii; but that measures were in progress for its suppression. We are happy and thankful to be able to state that those measures were successful; at least thus far the parties have remained quiet, and»part of the Palauli people have returned to their lands.
