Victory Celebrations

PROGRAMME FORMULATED

A meeting of the Warkworth Victory Celebrations Committee was held last Monday evening when decisions were made concerning the appropriate celebration of 'Victory in Europe" Day. Reports from the various sub committees were received and considered, and it was decided to hold on the day the official declaration of victory is made, a Civic Thanksgiving Service in the Town Hall, to be followed with a Victory Ball in the evening. A week later it is proposed to stage a Victory Concert. During the week following V Day the Warkworth District--High School will hold a Victory Social for pupils and young people. Programmes for the "Thanksgiving Service" are to be printed, and it was decided that admission charges to the ball be: gentlemen 2/-; ladies a basket ; and concert: adults 1/6, chil-
