SUCCESSFUL FLOWER- SHOW
Notwithstanding the inclement weather, the Anglican Ladies' Guild held a very successful flower show in the Warkworth Town Hall last Friday. Splendid entries were received, there being 100 exhibits in the floral artistry section, while the cut'flowers and children's sections also drew strong support. The judges, Mesdames G. H. Smith and H. Busbridge (floral artistry) and Mr A.M. Shaw (cut flowers) commented very highly on the quality of blooms exhibited. Section and other awards are as follow : — .. *
Dahlia section : Mrs E. Rresfcou ; runner-up, Mrs H. Riley. Cut flowers : Miss E. Campbell. Floral artistry : Mrs A. S. Carran ; runnerup, Mrs B. Phillips. Children's section : Susan Dobbs; runner-up, Eleanor Sfcubbs Girl's decorated toy, Susan Dobbs 1, Eleanor Stubbs 2, Glenice Perkins 3 ; boy's decorated toy, Eraser Perkins 1, Douglas Eraser 2, John Baker 3. Most points in show —Mrs A. S. Carran.
