DOME VALLEY

The Dome Valley Harvest Thanks giving gatherings were held on Sunday and Monday, March 2nd and 3rd. The bees were busy on Saturday itfterrioon arranging the flowers, fruit rand vegetables, of which there was a good display. The walls were decorated with green maize, kindly given by Mr Civil, and beladona lilJies. There was a good gathering on Sunday morning, friends being present; from Cambridge, Pukekohe, Auckland, Warkworth, etc. Eev. Hickman led the service, giving -first an interesting talk to the children on "Growth," and to the older folk on "God's Gifts."- A solo, "What shall the Harvest be," was sung very sweetly by- Mrs Ealph Martin. There was a fair gathering at the .evening service. Eev. Hickman again conducted the service, and gave : a good address, his subject being a '■Challenge." Miss Alma Grimmer •presided atfthe organ at both services. On Monday evening the sale of ■goods wasJield when there was a -very fair number present. Rev. jffickman presided. The meeting was opened with singing several •choruses and prayer. Mr Cliff Grimmer weiided the hammer ju a very efficient manner, and sold the goods at very satisfactory prices, something over eighteen pounds being realised.
