KGSS JONES SELECTED AS MEMBER OF LEAGUE TEAM .Our congratulations are extended to Mr Ross Jones, son of Mr and Mrs Donald Jones, of Mafcakana, on his selection as a member of the New Zealand League team to tour England and France later this year. M r Jones, formerly played Rugby for thei Matakana team and only last season changed.over to the League code. . The team will leave Wellington by the Rangitalu on July 27th and wijl arrive in . England on August 29th. The opening match of the. Lour. will he against St. Helen's on September 2nd. The team will conclude its English itinerary an December 16th and six further games will be played in France. ' Farewell Arranged At a social-dance arranged in his honour, Mr Boss Jones, will be pubicly farewelled in the Matakana Hall next Saturday evening.
