MR. R. H. GOLDSWORTHY
The death has occurred recently at his late residence, Mullet Point, of Mr R. H. Goldsworthy, thus removiug from our midst one of the oldest born and best known residents of the district. Born at Mullet Point 72 years ago he left the district early in life and resided at Rotorua.and later at Gisborne, eventually acquiring a farm in the Hokianga district, which he worked and developed for some years. He returned to Mullet Point about 40 years ago, where he resided up to the time of his death. Mr Goldsworthy always took a keen interest in local public affairs, being for some years chairman of the Mahurangi East School Committee, and was a very devoted Church worker for many years, acting as steward of the Methodist Church. Being popular and highly respected his passing will be regretted by a large number of friends. The interment took place at the Mullet Point cemetery, the burial service being conducted by the Rev. D. Hickman.
