PORT ALBERT NOTES

Football

There was a large attendance at the Port Albert Domain on Saturday afternoon, when two matches were played against teams 'from Weilsford. In the junior game, the local team won by 24 points to 13, though Wellsford were leading at half-time by B—6. For Port Albert tries were scored by W. Neal 3, Witheford, Shepherd, G. Reid, while W. Neal converted 3.tries. Wellsford's points were gained by Wat|on 2 tries, Munro 1, while Watson and Munro each con vetted a try. Mr H. L. Becroft had charge of the game.

In the senior game Wellsford won by 9 points to 5. For Wellsford tries were scored by J. Vause and N. Gordon, and a penalty kick by J. Vause. For the local team N. Alexander scored a try, which was converted by W. Neal. Mr Campbell was referee.
