PUPIOI WINS KNOCK-OUT
COMPETITION
In the final match of the Rodney Rugby Union's knock-out competition played at Puhoi last Saturday, Puhoi defeated Matakana by 8 points to 6. Puhoi has thus so far carried off two of the three trophies offered for competition this season —the Govan Wilson Cup and Farmers Trading Coy.'s Cup. E. L. Smith Cur. • With the handsome "B. L.' Smith Cup" at stake, Puhoi, winners of the Union's 1936 championship, will meet the runners-up, Port Albert,.on the hitter's ground next Saturday, when an interesting match should result.
