Tomarata Sports and Sheep Dog Trials.
Enjoyable Meeting Largely
ATTENDED
The annual sheep dog trials.and sports meeting were_ held last Thursday pu the property of Mr E. E. iVLuifitt, at Toniarata. The weather, was ideal for the occasion and although the entries for the trials were; not quite as many as last yearj some very good performances were witnessed by a large number of spectators. The judge, Mr A. Fletcher, of Whangarei, commented very favourably on the work that had been done.
The president, Mr L. J. Simpson the-trial steward, Mr E. Murfitt, and the secretary, Mr Geo. Pop], -are to be commended for the very efficient manner in which the .meeting was carried out, the general arrangements throughout Joeing first class.
