The -Rodney Returned Soldiers' Assn. is holding a social re-union in conjunction with the annual meeting on Thursday, 27thinst.- The annual Poppy Day appeal is to be held on Friday next, 21st inst. The proceeds from the sale of poppies manufactured in Auckland by disabled returned soldiers are used exclusively for relieving distress among returned men in-Eodney County irrespective of whether they are members of the Association or not. Arrangements are well in hand for Anzac Day memorial service and parade. Major Wyatt will be in charge of the parade which will include the Mounted Rifles. Pipe-Major Williamson, in charge of the pipers, will also be present.

The Kaipara Flats Ladies' Hockey Club are holding their" annual dance on Friday, 28th inst. Fine music will be a feature by the wellknown orchestra from Auckland — members from the N.Z. Institute for the Blind. The price for admission is 2s.

Tenders are required for additions and painting to Victoria Hall, Tauhoa. Tenders, addressed to chairman, wiil be received tip to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 2nd May.

The Warkworth Football Club will hold their annual meeting in the Library on Monday next, at 8 p.m. Members and intending members are specially requested to attend.

The Warkwoth Talkies' are showing on Saturday evening next a British Domin,ons picture, entitled " Speed Demon," and other good supporting features.
