BOWLING

Saturday afternoon saw a good; turnout of bowlers and some interest* ing play resulted. An extraordinary; feature of the afternoon's play was that though the teams were fairly even the scores were very uneven in every game —just the luck of the game. Cards handed in were as follows :—Woodman, F. D. Hart, A. Hoysted 29, played Halligan, Miller, Ashton 8 ; Buchanan, Elliott, Civil 35, played Williams, J. Ashton, H. Moore 7 : Pickering, Shaw, Duke 25, played R. B. Hart, Delaveau, Ingham 8.

During the past week two games have been played for the " Rooster," but in each case the bird preferred to remain with its present holder, A. Hoysted, The scores were —Hoysted 29, Delaveau 7 (21 heads); Hoysted 14, R. B. Hart 11 (.11 heads).
