Speaking at the annual Conference of the Institute of Horticulture "at Christchurch, the President, Mr F. J. Nathan, said: "We import thousands of pounds worth of lemons every year and if the industry was sufficiently developed in the Dominion this country would soon be in a position to export lemons in such quantity as to take a large place in the world's markets. This industry can be made a great channel for the outlet of energy and a source of income to the country.'
