An instructive and useful demonstration in basket makiug was given by Mr 0. Newcombe at the monthly uieetiug of the Tauhpa Women's In stitute, which watfheld on Wednesday, 10th iust. Owing to the unsettled weather the attendance' was not ;<s large as usual, but those who ventured out had a royal time, uud a delicious afternoon tea which was seived by the hostesses, Mesdauies Parr and Littiu', senr.
