OBITUARY.
MRS. ALEX. CAMPBELL
Another link with the past history of this district has been broken by the death of Mrs Alex. Campbell, which cccuirad last week. Mrs Campbell was the wife of Mr A. Campbell, who for 25 years was head teacher in Warkworth School. Mr Campbell went to live in Matakana when married, and managed tl'e farm there while Mr Campbell taught school in Warkworth. When the sous grew up they took over the farm, and Mrs Campbell lived on in Matakana until about two years ago. Mrs Campbell reached the ripe age of .83. Her husband pre deceased her some 25 years. Three son*. Messrs Walter, A. J. X, and E. V Campbell, all of Matakana, and four daughters pre left to mourn their loss-'. The interment "took' place at MattIcaua on Sunday s afternoon, and was largely attended MRS. JACKSON. Another former Matakana resident, also passed to the Great Beyond lust week, Mrs Jacksou, formerly Miss Leeds, who would be well known to all old Matakana residents.
