The*e were over .thirty at itihe 500 tournament last Saturday night —a dozen conning from Warkwufcth. Mr Thomas Ramsbottom secured the gentlemen's ■prize, Mr Jack Thompson the i booby,, Mrs. W. Adolph the ladies, i and Mrs Seymour Smith the ; booby. It was a very successful evening. Mr Thos. Blair, with good men and horses, grader, plough and j scoop, has been preparing joads for metal on both the Woodcocks road and the Hoteo road. With modern motor transport there is much greater anxiety to get metal down and secure an all weather surface. The suggestion has1 again been pat forward for con-, crete ribbon roads, the strips quite narrow, with wide formation, a little metal, and a lot of; pas pal urn. < i
